Mamuli Dangu Ruha

Mamuli dangu Ruha is an ikat woven cloth with a smaller size than usual and this size is often used as pashmina. Mamuli and Ruha are symbols of a Sumbanese woman who must be agile and strong like a deer and can protect nature by creating woven cloth with natural dyes. This fabric will be produced in 2022. Together with young people aged 15 to 25 years old who have dropped out of school and also those who have not continued their studies in the PKW (Entrepreneurship Training) program, I teach these children from very good knowledge until they can create their own sheets with the same motif.

Dimension :

  • Ikat length: 169 cm

While I’ve keep one in hopes of one day showcasing it in a Sumbanese Ikat gallery, I am open to negotiations for serious collectors who value its unique heritage. If you’re interested in the final piece feel free to contact me for more information.
